Ramona The Pest – Summary

In the beginning, Ramona was arguing with Beezus about how she is not a pest. Next, Ramona attends kindergarten for the first time in her life and will show Beezus that she is not a pest. She is going to Glenwood School with Howie, her neighbor. Following this event, Ramona met her teacher, Ms. Binney. Ms. Binney is a pretty and tall woman. When Ramona was put into a seat, Ms Binney told her to sit here for the present. By that, she meant to sit here for right now and Ramona will probably be moved somewhere else. But with Ramona’s knowledge, she mistaken it with like a gift and that Ms. Binney will give her one if she sat there. Eventually, Ramona was telling everyone that she is going to get a present from Ms. Binney and Howie got extremely mad about Ramona’s brags.

I AM.

I am short but I want to be tall as the Eiffel Tower.

I have brothers but I want sisters that understands me well.

I like to be in the dark but it scares me every night

I am not smart but I want to be intelligent like Albert Einstein .

I have friends but I like to isolate myself.

I want to be alone but I can’t stand the loneliness.

I have a heart but I don’t know how to control it.

I can fly across the sky, but it’s just in my dreams…

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty Prediction

I predict that “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” by James Thurber is going to be a funny and humorous story judging by the author’s personalities in his biography. Walter Mitty owns a diary and writes in it his stories in his everyday life. Using the clue in “Snoopy”, we can see that Snoopy uses a typewriter so I think maybe Walter Mitty writes his stories with a typewriter. Judging by the vocabulary in class, Walter Mitty might be having a dog (cur). He could also be a rakish and distraught man. Walter Mitty might be having lots of problems in his life so he wants to fill in his void by daydreaming and writing in his diary. Walter Mitty is a lonely person and feels desperate so he daydreams of having a better life.
