Judging by the vocabulary in class, Walter Mitty might be having a dog (cur). He could also be a rakish and distraught man. Walter Mitty might be having lots of problems in his life so he wants to fill in his void by daydreaming and writing in his diary. Walter Mitty is a lonely person and feels desperate so he daydreams of having a better life.
